In Group Technology, we manage most the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. Roles & Responsibilities • Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, Computational Complexity, and Problem Solving • Excellent working knowledge of Java (17+), including Concurrency and Multithreading, the Collections Framework, JVM Internals, Performance Optimization, and Functional Programming concepts • Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Java/Spring-based applications, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, RESTful APIs, and Event-Driven Architectures • Proven experience in building and operating microservices architectures, including service decomposition, resilience patterns, scalability, and observability • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), including the implementation of common design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean architecture practices • Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL optimization, query tuning, indexing strategies, and performance troubleshooting • Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks, including JUnit, Mockito, Spring Test, Karate, and Cucumber (BDD) • Proficiency with modern SDLC and DevOps tools, including Git/Bitbucket, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, and JIRA • Experience working with cloud and container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes (preferred) • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as ELK • Strong automation and scripting capabilities • Ability to work effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments and quickly adapt to evolving business and technology requirements AI-Assisted Development & Engineering Productivity(GenAI) • Experience using Generative AI-powered software development tools to improve engineering productivity and code quality, such as Gemini CLI, Claude Code, and Claude CLI. • Ability to leverage AI tools for: Code generation and refactoring, Unit test creation, API development and documentation, Code review assistance, Root cause analysis and troubleshooting, Performance optimization recommendations • Understanding of responsible AI-assisted development practices including Validating AI-generated code, conducting security and compliance reviews, Prompt engineering for software development, AI-assisted debugging and system analysis, Maintaining code quality, maintainability, and governance standards Requirements: • Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in software development, with strong backend engineering expertise • Experience in Banking, Payments, FinTech, or high-volume transaction processing systems • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud-native application development • Contributions to engineering productivity initiatives, developer platforms, or AI-driven development practices will be highly valued • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across distributed teams and stakeholders.
