**Job Title:** Assistant Vice President – RAPID (QUALITY MANAGER) **Department** : ISPL RAPID **About Business Line/Function** The Quality Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance processes, to improve operational efficiency and accuracy, within the COE ISPL Operations department. The Quality Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, monitor performance metrics, and drive a positive risk culture across COE ISPL. **Position Purpose** Quality manager is also required to drive RAPID which is one of the key Projects that aims to create a Positive Risk Culture where staff at every level appropriately manage risk as an intrinsic part of their day-to-day work. Such a culture supports an open discussion about uncertainties and opportunities, encourages staff to express concerns, and maintains processes to elevate concerns to appropriate levels. RAPID also aims to implement the operational risk management framework and monitor operational risk. Hence, RAPID will analyse control results and incidents to identify main operational risks and follow the associated mitigation/remediation actions (including recommendations) to improve quality. RAPID focuses mainly on the 5 pillars R- Risk Review A- Accountability P- Positive Risk Culture I-Incident Management D- Drive Supervisory Effectiveness Three Objectives of RAPID are, - To Improve overall control environment - Reduce Operational Risk - Reduce Incident **Responsibilities** Direct Responsibilities - Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance program for ISPL COE operations, aligning with organizational goals. - Design and execute quality control processes to improve over control environment. - Conduct regular surprise audits and reviews of operational processes to identify potential areas of improvement and ensure compliance with internal and external standards. - Collaborate with departmental managers and stakeholders to define quality standards, metrics, and performance targets. - Analyze data metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. - Provide guidance and support to operational teams to ensure consistent application of quality control processes and standards. - Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of employees on quality management principles and practices. - Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on quality assurance activities, including findings, recommendations, and performance metrics for management review. - Coordinate on audit missions - Drive tasks related to segregation of duties & Crown waiver - As a BCM SPOC, coordinate with BCM and Operations team to ensure BIA, WADI, Cross border testing are on track - Monitor and analyze incident trends and patterns to identify areas for improvement. - Work closely with Ops team to ensure that RAPID’s guidelines established are adapted - Perform Incident Lookback and read across for Critical Incidents - Monitor Aged incidents and ensuring reduction in number of aged items - As part of FMEA - Establish missing controls & strengthen existing controls along with the coordination with Rapid Champions, SME’s & Managers at the desk - Performing Checker Certification and also certifying checkers who fail standards - Monitoring Supervisor Accountability Checklists - Conduct, Risk & Incident meetings - Recognize Control Champions - Acting as a bridge between OPS and OPC on any open incidents and critical discussion - Foster Risk Consciousness **Technical & Behavioral Competencies** - Able to work with large data in excel and suggest process enhancement ideas. - Knowledge of advanced formulas & pivot tables in excel is must. - Good working knowledge of tools such as Collibra, Ab-Initio, Informatica Metadata Manager - SharePoint, MS Word, MS Visio, Power BI & PowerPoint **Specific Qualifications** - Minimum 15 years of experience within the BFSI domain. - Understanding Internal Controls, Operational Risk, Internal or External Audit function or with associated business experience. - Experience in operational risk - Good analytical skills and control mindset - Ability to integrate various information and synthesize them - Good communication and presentation skills, with ability to interact with operations staff and Senior Management - Ability to work independently and also as part of a team - Coordination and multi-tasking skill Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for statistical analysis and report production **Technical Skills** **Skills Referential** **(** **Required knowledge, skills and abilities)** - Advanced Excel - Power BI (good to have) **Behavioral Skills** - Communication - Analytical Ability - Team Player **Education Level:** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent **Location:** Bengaluru /Mumbai/ Chennai **About BNP Paribas Group** BNP Paribas is the European Union’s leading bank and key player in international banking.
