Role & responsibilities Job Title: Back-End Developer Experience: 3-5 Years Location: HYD Engagement Type: Full Time Role Overview We are looking for a skilled Back-End Developer with 35 years of experience to build and maintain scalable, high-performance server-side applications. The ideal candidate should have strong coding skills, a solid understanding of APIs and databases, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable backend services. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and APIs • Build scalable and secure RESTful / microservices-based architectures • Collaborate with front-end developers, QA, and product teams to deliver features end-to-end • Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability • Develop and manage database schemas, queries, and integrations • Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes • Leverage and adopt AI-assisted development tools and practices to improve productivity and code quality Must-Have Skills Programming & Frameworks • Strong proficiency in at least one backend language: • Java (Spring Boot) / Node.js / Python (Django, Flask) / .NET Core • Experience in building RESTful APIs and web services • Solid understanding of object-oriented and/or functional programming concepts Databases • Hands-on experience with: • Relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) • NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis) • Strong knowledge of data modeling and query optimization Core Backend Concepts • Understanding of microservices architecture • Knowledge of API security (OAuth, JWT, etc.) • Experience with asynchronous processing and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) • Familiarity with caching strategies DevOps & Tools • Experience with version control systems (Git) • Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) Good to Have • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) • Exposure to GraphQL APIs • Understanding of event-driven architecture • Knowledge of performance monitoring tools (New Relic, Prometheus) • Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) Soft Skills • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking • Good communication and collaboration skills • Ability to work in an Agile environment • Ownership mindset with attention to detail Education • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Key Success Metrics (KPIs) • API performance and response times • System reliability and uptime • Code quality and maintainability • Defect rate and production issue resolution time • Timely delivery of features
