The Banker will support customers with day-to-day banking needs, including opening and servicing accounts, processing deposits and withdrawals, and assisting with loan and product inquiries. The role involves explaining banking products clearly, guiding customers on digital channels, and ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. The Banker will monitor account activity, address customer issues promptly, and collaborate with team members to meet branch service and sales objectives. The position also includes maintaining high standards of customer service, contributing to community-focused initiatives, and upholding the bank’s values of fairness and transparency. **Qualifications** - Strong customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage respectfully and effectively with diverse customers. - Basic to intermediate knowledge of banking products and services, including savings accounts, current accounts, loans, and digital banking tools. - Solid numerical aptitude and attention to detail for handling cash, transactions, reconciliations, and account documentation accurately. - Proficiency in communication, both verbal and written, in English and local languages commonly used in Gujarat. - Comfort with using core banking systems, standard office software, and digital channels; ability to learn new tools quickly. - Understanding of basic regulatory and compliance requirements in banking, and a commitment to ethical and transparent practices. - Ability to work in a branch environment, manage time effectively, and collaborate with colleagues to meet shared goals. - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is preferred; relevant banking or customer-facing experience is an advantage. - Interest in community development and inclusive finance, aligned with Equitas Small Finance Bank’s mission and values.
