**Job Description – Azure Cloud Infrastructure** **Location** Hybrid **Employment Type** Full-Time **Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Infrastructure to join our Cloud Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, securing, and optimizing Microsoft Azure infrastructure while ensuring high availability, scalability, security, and operational excellence. The role requires hands-on expertise in Azure IaaS, networking, identity management, automation, and cloud governance. **Key Responsibilities** **Azure Infrastructure** - Design, deploy, and manage enterprise Azure environments. - Build and maintain Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks (VNets), Virtual WAN, Availability Sets, and Availability Zones. - Configure Azure Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Traffic Manager, and Azure Front Door. - Implement Azure Storage solutions, including Blob, File, Queue, and Disk Storage. - Manage Azure Backup, Site Recovery (ASR), and disaster recovery strategies. - Implement Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). **Identity & Security** - Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD). - Configure Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). - Manage Azure Key Vault and certificate lifecycle. - Implement Microsoft Defender for Cloud recommendations. - Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and governance policies. **Monitoring & Operations** - Configure Azure Monitor, Log Analytics Workspace, Alerts, and Workbooks. - Monitor infrastructure health and optimize performance. - Manage incident, problem, and change activities. - Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for production incidents. - Support 24×7 production environments through an on-call rotation. **Automation** - Develop automation using: - PowerShell - Azure CLI - Azure Automation - Logic Apps - Implement Infrastructure as Code using: - Terraform - Bicep - ARM Templates - Automate operational tasks and deployment processes. **DevOps Collaboration** - Work with DevOps teams to integrate Azure infrastructure into CI/CD pipelines. - Support Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions. - Collaborate with development teams on cloud-native deployments. **Governance & Cost Optimization** - Implement Azure Policy, Management Groups, and Resource Locks. - Monitor Azure spending and recommend optimization opportunities. - Apply tagging strategies and governance controls. - Perform capacity planning and resource optimization. **Documentation** - Maintain architecture diagrams. - Create standard operating procedures (SOPs). - Document runbooks and knowledge articles. - Prepare disaster recovery documentation. **Soft Skills** - Excellent communication and stakeholder management. - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. - Ability to mentor junior engineers. - Customer-focused mindset. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team.
