Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) Engineer

Job description

Perform stress analysis for aircraft primary structures using classical methods and Finite Element (FE) techniques. Responsibilities  Conduct LS-Dyna modeling and analysis for commercial gas turbine engine components.  Develop sub-component and component-level FE models and perform simulations.  Analyze impact events such as Fan Blade Out, containment, bird/ice impact.  Support pre-test predictions for impact tests to ensure successful component and engine certification.  Work with design and integration teams to ensure structural requirements are met.  Prepare technical reports and participate in design reviews.  Contribute to process improvements and enhance simulation techniques.  3–5 years of experience in stress analysis and FE modeling.  Hands-on experience with LS-Dyna (PrePost and Solver). Familiarity with implicit and explicit solvers.  Experience in FE modeling using Hypermesh.  Basic knowledge of bird modeling techniques (Lagrangian, SPH, ALE) is a plus.  Exposure to NASTRAN/PATRAN is an advantage.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).  Strong oral and written communication skills. Preferred  Experience with metallic and composite impact analysis.  Understanding of damage and failure modeling.
