Required years of experience – 1+ years of hands-on experience turning data into meaningful insights, with exposure to reporting, analysis, stakeholder support, service excellence, data quality and governance. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE: The Consultant – People Analytics is part of People Operations and reports to the Senior Manager – People Analytics. The role delivers accurate, timely, and meaningful workforce reporting, analysis, and insights for the People Organization and business stakeholders. Working within agreed priorities, standards, and processes, and taking direction from the Senior Manager – People Analytics and aligned People Organization stakeholders, the Consultant translates business questions into reporting and analytical outputs, investigates data, and communicates findings clearly. The role is responsible for standard reporting and related support and builds a strong foundation in People data. Additional projects and tasks are assigned based on business needs. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The colleague is responsible for: Reporting, Analysis and Insights • Produce recurring and ad hoc workforce reporting across key People measures, including headcount, workforce movement, turnover, hiring, and other organizational trends. • Analyze People data to identify trends, patterns, exceptions, and areas requiring further investigation. • Translate defined business questions into clear reports, summaries, and presentations. • Explain findings, assumptions, and limitations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Support People reporting cycles, business reviews, talent activities, and other People initiatives. Stakeholder and Service Support • Clarify reporting requirements, expected outputs, and timelines with stakeholders and the Senior Manager – People Analytics. • Provide responsive and professional analytical support within agreed priorities and service expectations. • Build effective relationships across People Operations, People Business Partners, Centres of Excellence, and other relevant teams. • Work closely with Centres of Excellence to understand the key resources and tools available to support aligned People Organization stakeholders. • Escalate material delivery, data or scope issues through agreed channels. Data Quality, Governance and Improvement • Perform appropriate validation and quality checks before outputs are shared. • Follow established data definitions, reporting standards, access controls, governance requirements, and confidentiality protocols. • Identify and document data quality issues and support their investigation and resolution. • Maintain reporting logic, process documentation, and standard operating procedures. • Suggest opportunities to simplify or standardize recurring work and share lessons learned across the team. Capability Development • Develop knowledge of People data, business processes, and core People reporting tools. • Build understanding of workforce priorities and how People Analytics supports decision-making. • Take on additional responsibilities and projects as assigned, based on business need. Indicators of Success in the Role • Reporting and analytical outputs are accurate, timely, clear, and aligned with agreed requirements. • Data quality concerns and delivery risks are identified and escalated promptly. • Documentation and quality controls are applied consistently. • Stakeholders receive reliable and professional analytical support. • The role demonstrates increasing analytical capability and confidence in handling recurring analytical requirements independently. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: • Experience working with workforce, People, or other business data. • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with close attention to accuracy and detail. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel skills, and confident use of the wider Microsoft Office suite. • Experience producing reports in Workday reporting, Power BI, or equivalent tools, or a clear aptitude to learn them. • Ability to investigate data and translate findings into clear and practical insights. • Strong organization, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-service skills. • High standards of confidentiality, discretion, and responsible handling of sensitive People data. • Curiosity, initiative, adaptability, and willingness to develop new analytical and technical capabilities.
