As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer, you will plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems, bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems that launch cutting-edge, world class products. Qualcomm Hardware Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. • PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. Job Description • 6 to 15 years of experience in EM/IR and PDN domain is mandatory for this role • Expert user of Synopsys Redhawk SC/ Cadence Voltus power integrity analysis tool and have exposure to PNR/STA and extraction industry standard tools and flow • Support and enhance static IR, dynamic IR, and electromigration flows at the block-level and subsystem levels • Provide guidance and feedback to PDN analysis engineers on EMIR best practices, rules, and methodologies. • Troubleshoot and debug EMIR issues and provide solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency. • Develop, support, enhance scripts that can postprocess EMIR results to dashboard and summarize actionable results for design team • Maintain and release qualified flow releases for large and complexSoCs design implementation and analysis work. • Maximize designproductivity withstrong/efficient python/tcl/perl scriptingskillsandcustomization oftool flows • Qualify EMIR tools with regression management systems and create tests. • Engage with EDA vendors in providing cutting edge out of box solutions for new features and flows. • Collaborate withEDA partnersto determine/drive optimalandcutting-edge solutionsfor effectiveefficient CAD solutions
