At Tredence a data governance specialist will establish and enforce data policies, ensuring data quality, managing data access, and complying with regulations. This includes defining data standards, managing data assets, and collaborating with various teams to ensure data is used responsibly and effectively. **Role - Data Governance specialist** **Location - Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Hyderabad** **Notice period - Immediate to 15 days joiners** **Core Responsibilities:** - Work with team's Data Governance leadership in defining features, epics and user stories to support all ongoing initiatives - Engage with different stakeholders from engineering, business and data & AI implementation teams to identify key dependencies to prioritize and support initiatives for better data trust and adoption. - Review catalog and lineage integration from Google Cloud to ensure catalog is usable for different user personas. - Provide recommendations to engineering teams in enriching the catalog and ease of search and access. - Define AI Governance foundation tasks and audit to ensure audit logging, observability, explainability and drift are implemented and scalable to all models. - Creating and implementing data governance policies, standards, and procedures. - Ensuring data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and validity through monitoring, profiling, and implementing quality rules. - Implementing and managing access controls, data encryption, and other security measures to protect sensitive data and comply with privacy regulations. - Defining and managing user access rights to ensure appropriate data access and prevent unauthorized access. - Working with data stewards to manage data assets, resolve data quality issues, and ensure data is used appropriately. - Tracking data lineage (where data comes from) and managing metadata (data about data) to understand data origins and usage. - Establishing and maintaining a comprehensive data governance framework that aligns with organizational goals and objectives. - Working with various stakeholders across the organization, including IT, business units, and legal, to ensure data governance is effectively implemented and maintained. **Required Skills** **Required Skills - Data Governance, Collibra, SQL, Python/pyspark,** Roadmap and Blueprint, Data Quality, MDM Roadmap and Blueprint, Metadata Management, MSFT Purview
