Job Description for ETL Tester: Looking for a skilled and motivated ETL data tester experienced to design, develop test strategies/approaches, create and design testing scenarios, test cases, test scripts, analyze the results post execution. The ideal candidate should be willing to work in a collaborative team environment where the candidate will have a wealth of opportunities to innovate and have intellectual curiosity to learn. To succeed in this role, a proven experience in best practices / testing standards with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities is required, thus supporting in developing quality systems that are in line with business. Responsibilities: Perform testing in Databricks environment which includes: • Participating in developing Test frameworks. • Participating in testing scripts development, code reviews • Partner with the product owner, data engineers, data architects and analysts to create scalable and robust solutions. • Prepare the status report of testing activities and share updates with the team during Scrum meeting. • Experience using appropriate test management tool like Azure DevOps Competencies / Required Skills: • ETL Testing experience of 3 to 8 years • Hands on experience of 3+ years working in Azure Databricks/ADLS environment. • Good at Python/Pyspark scripting. • Sound knowledge of relational or foundational database systems and software: Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Datawarehouse, Oracle and Databricks. • Experience working with private and sensitive personal information. • Good Analytical skills. • Understands SDLC concepts very well and should have worked in every phase of Testing lifecycle. Well versed with Agile methodology, testing approaches Education • Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant field. Experience • 3+ years proven work experience as a Data Tester, or similar role of which 3+years is in the Azure data bricks environment. • Must have worked in an Enterprise Data Warehousing and Analytics environment. • Staffing Industry experience is a plus. Soft Skills • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be a quick learner. • Excellent Interpersonal, and listening skills • Excellent multitasking and task management skills. • Must be able to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with data architects, engineers, and analysts.
