Location: **Pune, Maharashtra, India** Date Posted: **06/07/2026** Job description Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Architect / Tech Lead to spearhead our database modernization initiative. In this role, you will be the technical cornerstone of a critical project migrating our enterprise-level legacy Oracle databases to PostgreSQL. You will design the migration strategy, architect the target PostgreSQL environment, and lead a team of database engineers to ensure a seamless, secure, and zero- to-minimal downtime transition. Key Responsibilities - Migration Architecture & Strategy Define the end-to-end migration strategy, including schema conversion, data replication, and rollback procedures. - Assessment & Schema Conversion Evaluate complex Oracle databases (including PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, triggers, and views) and refactor them into optimized PostgreSQL equivalents. - Performance Tuning Architect the PostgreSQL target environment for maximum performance, scalability, and high availability (HA); diagnose and resolve complex query performance issues post-migration. - Technical Leadership Lead, mentor, and code-review a team of database engineers and developers, providing technical direction throughout the Migration Development Life Cycle (MDLC). - Tool Utilization & Automation Implement and optimize migration tooling (e.g., AWS SCT/DMS, ora2pg, pg\\_dump, or custom replication scripts) to automate data pipeline delivery. Technology, or a related technical field. - Experience 8+ years of experience in database engineering/architecture, with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience leading Oracle to PostgreSQL migration projects. - Deep Oracle Expertise Strong proficiency in Oracle Database (12c/19c), including advanced PL/SQL, RAC, Data Guard, and Performance Tuning. - Cloud Experience Experience hosting and managing PostgreSQL on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, or Google Cloud SQL). - Certifications Professional certifications in Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Cloud Architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP). - DevOps & Automation Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform/Ansible), and shell scripting (Python/Bash) for database automation. - Agile Methodology Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments as a technical lead. ##### ##### **Key Job Details** ###### **Primary Location** Pune, Maharashtra, India ###### **Job Type** Experienced ###### **Required Experience** 7 ###### **Skill** Data-PL/SQL,RDBMS databases, SQL scripts . ###### **Travel** No ###### **Date Posted** 06/07/2026
