The Application Engineer is responsible for leading engineering projects related to Chain Drive Timing Systems, Variable Cam Timing Systems, and Solenoid Product Development. The role involves customer interaction, product application engineering, design validation, problem-solving, and technical project coordination. Key Responsibilities • Work with customers to understand valve timing strategies and select suitable products. • Create and review product performance specifications and targets. • Design products considering specification and packaging constraints. • Perform technical assessments, calculations, and design validations. • Support DFMEA and DVP&R activities with customers. • Analyze prototype parts, failure modes, and customer issues. • Lead technical discussions with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams. • Apply problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, FTA, and Six Sigma. • Release designs as per Product Development Process requirements. • Support manufacturing plants for quality, productivity, and cost improvements. • Coordinate projects with global and cross-functional teams. - Internal Use Only: SalaryGlobal Terms of Use and Privacy Statement Carefully read the BorgWarner Privacy Policy before using this website.
