Description – Requirements Role Overview We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and optimise scalable, secure, and automated platforms supporting CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and DevSecOps practices. This role requires a strong balance between hands-on engineering, automation expertise, and platform thinking, with the ability to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across the software delivery lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across development, operations, and platform engineering, contributing to cloud-native transformation and CI/CD ecosystem standardisation, including frameworks such as ADP, DPaaS, and CSDP. Key Responsibilities • CI/CD & Automation Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Gerrit Enable pipeline-as-code practices (YAML, Jenkinsfile) Integrate automated testing (unit, integration, performance, security) into pipelines Drive GitOps practices using tools like ArgoCD / FluxCD • Cloud & Infrastructure Provision and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, Pulumi) Work across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments Ensure reliability, scalability, and cost optimisation (FinOps awareness) • Containerisation & Cloud-Native Implement and manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes Use Helm charts for deployments and configuration management Support microservices and service mesh architectures • Monitoring & Observability Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using: • Prometheus, Grafana • ELK Stack / Splunk / Datadog Improve system reliability through proactive observability • Security & Compliance (DevSecOps) Integrate security scanning tools (SAST/DAST) into CI/CD pipelines Manage secrets using tools like Vault / Key Vault / Secrets Manager Ensure compliance with organisational security and governance standards • Toolchain & Development Enablement Manage SCM systems: GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Gerrit Support build tools: Maven, Gradle, Ant Maintain artefact repositories: Nexus, Artifactory Enable reuse through development of shared assets/frameworks (e.g., SWPS assets) • Continuous Improvement & Automation Identify inefficiencies and automate manual workflows Improve deployment frequency, lead time, and change success rate Drive standardisation of DevOps practices across teams • Collaboration & Leadership Work closely with CSDP DevTools, Operations, and Product Teams Prioritise and manage backlog items aligned with business goals Provide training, documentation, and onboarding support Mentor engineers and promote DevOps best practices Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering / CI/CD Strong expertise in: • CI/CD tools and pipeline design • Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) • Containerisation (Docker) & orchestration (Kubernetes) Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Go) Experience in monitoring and observability tools Good understanding of microservices and cloud-native architectures Experience working in Agile environments Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with GitOps tools (ArgoCD / FluxCD) Exposure to platforms (ADP, DPaaS, CSDP) Knowledge of DevSecOps practices Experience with FinOps / cost optimisation Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering Prior experience in Telecom domain is a plus Professional Competencies Strong communication and stakeholder management Ownership mindset with ability to work autonomously Collaborative and cross-functional working style Continuous learning and innovation mindset Ability to mentor and influence teams Job responsibilities Role Overview We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and optimise scalable, secure, and automated platforms supporting CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and DevSecOps practices.
