DGM/ General Manager - Safety (API)

Job description

Role & responsibilities Role & responsibilities : Lead and manage general safety programs at the plant • Ensure compliance with applicable safety laws, Factory Act provisions, and statutory requirements • Develop, implement, and monitor plant-level safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across operations • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of CAPA • Promote a proactive safety culture through training, communication, and employee engagement • Coordinate safety induction and continuous safety training for employees, contractors, and visitors • Monitor safety performance indicators and present safety reports to plant leadership • Support emergency preparedness, fire safety, and disaster management initiatives • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure safe operation of equipment and utilities
