The India Government & Public Affairs Director is responsible for developing and enhancing the reputation of Micron Technology and Micron Semiconductor Technology India (MSTI) to lead Government related activities, special events and engagements, with a focus on business growth and outcome.  In this role, you will be supporting our manufacturing, operations, research & development and tax teams by strategically guiding our engagements with policy makers, Government stakeholders and other related non-government key stakeholders. You will work closely with the leaders of the company to advise the business on the impacts of policies, politics, regulations, and geopolitics on semiconductor manufacturing.   Based in New Delhi with flexibility to travel to our office in Ahmedabad, you will directly manage our relationships with Government stakeholders in the country, managing relationship with the central government in New Delhi, collaborating with the cross-functional teams and Government and Public Affairs across Asia and global.   Reporting to the Head of Asia Government & Public Affairs, you will be accountable and responsible as a key advisor to the country leaders in India. You will work in coordination with Regional and Global Government & Public Affairs team to develop, manage, communicate and implement India’s government and public affairs strategy and plans critical for the success of Micron Technology and MSTI, and analyze trends, assessing their impact on Micron’s operations in India and where applicable implications on the region.   In addition, the scope of your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):  • Supporting VP, Asia Government & Public Affairs and working closely and collaboratively with Business Leaders, Legal and Communication to achieve business goals and objectives.  • Leading key projects, developing and maintaining beneficial and proactive relationships with key public stakeholders as the representative of Micron Technology and MSTI and where required, secure Government support for our business growth.  • Driving sustained relationships at the central government and State level and helping to develop brand trust with Government, NGOs, industry associations and academia stakeholders and communities.  • Developing a framework for public affairs practice in India and where required provide guidance to other team members on approach and interaction with relevant Government departments to achieve a long-term collaborative relationship with the Government.  • Advising the Senior Director, Asia Government & Public Affairs, site leadership, key stakeholders as well as team members regarding Government and political matters with potential impact/impact to Micron and MSTI business.  • Monitoring political environment and reforms including policy, regulatory and legislations and developing analysis and strategic responses where relevant to Micron and the industry. Where applicable, provide timely updates and proactive advice to team members of resulting impact (if any) on operations.  • Leading and managing relationships with strategic stakeholders across industry associations and the Government including relevant Ministries, state government, municipalities and Government agencies in alignment with Micron’s objectives.  • Coordinating and implementing strategies that align with the objectives and goals of Micron Foundation’s work, talent initiatives and ESG sustainability efforts.</sp
