**Position Overview** **Location:** Kia India Pvt., Ltd., Penukonda Mandal, Sri Sathyasai District, Formally (Anantapur District), Andhra Pradesh **Qualification:** BE/B.tech **Designation:** Deputy Manager – Team Member **Reporting To:**Head of Section [Production Engineering] **Function:**Engine Assembly **Required Mandatory Skill Set:** **Experience:** Minimum 10-12 Years of experience in Engine Assembly process, New model introduction. preferably SAP Knowledge **Job Description:** We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Engineer specialized in Engine Assembly to join our engine shop team. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and optimize the machining processes for Engine Assembly, ensuring high precision and quality standards. The Production Engineer will work closely with the manufacturing team to implement efficient machining techniques, troubleshoot production issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage and oversee engine assembly operations to ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, refine, and implement assembly processes and procedures. - Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions to improve workflow. - Conduct root cause analysis of production issues and develop solutions to prevent recurrence. - Create and maintain detailed documentation of assembly processes, work instructions, and process improvements. - Provide technical support and training to assembly line staff to enhance their skills and ensure compliance with best practices. - Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement projects. - Monitor equipment performance and assist in troubleshooting and maintenance activities as needed. **Skills and Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. - Strong understanding of engine assembly processes and manufacturing principles. - Experience with production engineering or related roles in a manufacturing environment. - Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics evaluation. - Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Excellent communication skills to convey technical information effectively. - Proficiency in engineering software and tools such as CAD, ERP systems, and statistical process control (SPC) software. **Tools Required:** - CAD software for design verification and assembly planning. - ERP systems for production planning and inventory management. - Quality control tools and software for tracking production metrics and quality assurance. - Data analysis tools such as Excel or specialized engineering software for performance analysis. - Project management software to coordinate cross-functional initiatives and track progress. - Maintenance and troubleshooting tools for technical support of assembly equipment.
