As an External Relations Professional: Media Relations, you will play a key role in advancing initiatives that complement both product and corporate PR agendas, and that make a positive impact across private and public sectors, business partners, influencers, and the public at large. You will develop communications narratives, plans, and strategies that promote IBM's leadership across technologies, industries, policy, and corporate responsibility. Your primary responsibilities will include: \\* External communications strategies that advance IBM’s reputation and support business growth. \\* Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier business, technology and industry specific media to secure high-impact coverage. \\* Create compelling narratives, messaging, and thought leadership program that elevate IBM’s voice in the market. \\* Partner with business leaders to identify and amplify client success stories, and market-leading use cases. \\* Drive strategic engagement with media and relevant influencers (editorially) to strengthen understanding of IBM’s strategy, offerings, and differentiation. \\* Counsel executives and stakeholders on media engagement, messaging and communications best practices. \\* Anticipate market trends, emerging issues, and competitive developments to identify proactive communications opportunities. \\* Collaborate across different teams to deliver integrated campaigns and measurable outcomes. \\* Use data, insights, and analytics to evaluate impact and continuously optimize communications programs. 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or technology communications, with a strong track record in external relations. Deep understanding of India’s technology landscape, including enterprise technology, AI, Hybrid cloud and digital transformation trends. Proven experience developing and executing strategic media relations programs that deliver measurable business outcomes. Established relationships with senior editors, technology journalists, and influential voices across business and technology media. Exceptional writing, storytelling, and content development skills, with the ability to simplify complex technologies into engaging narratives. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to leverage insights and metrics to inform strategy and demonstrate impact. Naturally curious, adaptable, and able to quickly build expertise across a broad range of technology and business topics. Collaborative and highly effective at influencing and partnering across cross-functional and global teams. A proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings creativity, innovation, and strategic thinking to every challenge.
