Job Description General Purpose Maintenance (GPM) Job Purpose The General Purpose Maintenance (GPM) team member is responsible for ensuring restaurant equipment, facilities, and utilities are maintained in good working condition to support uninterrupted restaurant operations and compliance with KFC operational standards. Key Responsibilities Maintenance - Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of restaurant equipment and facilities. - Carry out minor repairs related to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and fixtures where applicable. - Identify and report major maintenance issues for timely resolution. - Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are completed on time. Equipment Care - Inspect and maintain kitchen equipment, including fryers, refrigerators, freezers, ovens, exhaust systems, air conditioners, and other restaurant equipment. - Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and arrange servicing when required. - Maintain maintenance records and service logs. Utilities Management - Monitor electricity, water, gas, and generator systems to ensure efficient operation. - Report utility leakages, faults, or abnormal consumption. - Support energy-saving initiatives and proper utilization of utilities. Compliance - Ensure maintenance activities comply with KFC operational, food safety, and safety standards. - Assist in preparing the restaurant for preventive maintenance and operational audits. - Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and equipment records. Qualifications - Minimum 10th Pass or ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, or a related trade (preferred). - Previous maintenance experience in restaurants, retail, hospitality, or commercial facilities is preferred. Skills Required - Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and refrigeration systems. - Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs. - Good communication and teamwork skills. - Ability to work independently and manage maintenance tasks effectively. - Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
