As the Global Digital Software Leader – R&D, you will lead the global software engineering organization responsible for delivering the digital platforms and software capabilities that power the SRC portfolio. Reporting to the Head of R&D for Sleep & Respiratory Care, you will define the software engineering strategy, build world-class engineering capabilities, and ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-quality software that enables innovative healthcare solutions. As a member of the SRC R&D Leadership Team, you will help shape the technology roadmap for the business while driving engineering excellence, organizational capability, and digital transformation across a global engineering organization. **You are responsible for** - Defining and executing the global digital software engineering strategy for the Sleep & Respiratory Care business, aligned with Philips' innovation and business objectives. - Leading a global digital software engineering organization through senior leaders, creating a high-performing culture focused on innovation, quality, and execution. - Delivering end-to-end software development across the SRC portfolio, from architecture and development through release, maintenance, and lifecycle management. - Driving engineering excellence through modern software development practices, Agile ways of working, and continuous improvement. - Building and developing a diverse global engineering organization by attracting, coaching, and growing exceptional talent. - Ensuring software solutions meet the highest standards of quality, cybersecurity, reliability, and regulatory compliance within a highly regulated healthcare environment. - Managing organizational priorities, budgets, resources, and engineering capabilities to deliver business objectives. - Partnering closely with Product Management, Systems Engineering, Clinical, Quality & Regulatory, Manufacturing, IT, and Business Leadership to deliver innovative digital health solutions. - Driving operational excellence through standardized processes, governance, and engineering metrics while removing barriers that impact delivery. - Supporting strategic initiatives, including technology partnerships, innovation programs, acquisitions, and organizational transformation. **You are part of** You will report directly to the Head of R&D for the Sleep & Respiratory Care business and serve as a member of the SRC R&D Leadership Team. You will lead a global software engineering organization spanning multiple locations and collaborate closely with business, clinical, and engineering leaders to shape the future of connected sleep and respiratory care solutions. **To succeed in this role, you'll need** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. - 15+ years of software engineering and technology leadership experience. - 8+ years in senior leadership roles within a global, matrixed MedTech or other regulated technology organization. - Proven experience leading large global software engineering organizations (100+ FTE) through senior leaders. - Hands-on software development or software architecture experience earlier in your career. - Experience delivering complex software platforms and connected digital products using modern software engineering practices and Agile methodologies. - Strong understanding of software development within regulated healthcare environments, including quality and regulatory requirements. - Demonstrated success leading organizational transformation and building high-performing engineering teams. - Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across a global organization. - Excellent communication, collaboration, and people leadership skills. **Why Philips Sleep & Respiratory Care?** The Sleep & Respiratory Care business is transforming how care is delivered through connected devices, digital health platforms, cloud technologies, and AI-enabled solutions.
