Bengaluru, Karnataka Job Summary We are hiring a highly skilled Senior JavaScript / UI5 Technical Lead for SAP Business One Web Client UI development. The role remains strongly focused on SAP UI5 / OpenUI5 , while requiring advanced JavaScript expertise, strong core programming fundamentals, practical knowledge of algorithms and data structures, and exceptional problem-solving capability. The candidate must be able to translate open-ended business or technical problems into scalable, maintainable, secure, and testable UI solutions, provide technical direction, and lead and mentor development teams. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of complex SAP Business One Web Client features using UI5, advanced JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Interpret open-ended business or technical problem statements and independently produce high-level and low-level solution designs. Define UI components, modules, data and state flows, API contracts, dependencies, validation rules, failure scenarios, and non-functional requirements. Write clean, modular, efficient, maintainable, secure, and well-tested JavaScript and UI5 code. Integrate UI applications with SAP Business One Service Layer through REST and OData APIs, and diagnose failures across browser and service layers. Create technical prototypes to validate feasibility, usability, performance, or architectural choices. Lead design discussions, challenge incomplete requirements, identify risks and edge cases, and drive technically sound decisions. Conduct rigorous code and design reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, design principles, security practices, quality gates, and test coverage expectations. Mentor and guide developers through solution design, code walkthroughs, debugging support, technical feedback, and capability development. Own delivery from analysis and design through development, unit testing, defect resolution, documentation, release stabilization, and production support. Collaborate with product owners, architects, backend C++ and Service Layer teams, testers, and other engineering stakeholders. Skill Requirements Advanced JavaScript: deep understanding of scope, closures, prototypes, asynchronous programming, promises, event handling, modules, error handling, browser behavior, and performance optimization. SAP UI5 / OpenUI5: strong hands-on experience building complex, reusable, responsive, and maintainable enterprise UI applications aligned with SAP Fiori design principles. Programming fundamentals: ability to write correct, efficient, readable, reusable, secure, and testable code beyond framework-specific implementation. Algorithms and data structures: practical knowledge of arrays, strings, objects, linked structures, stacks, etc. Problem solving: ability to analyse ambiguous requirements, identify constraints and edge cases, decompose complex problems, compare alternatives, debug systematically, and produce robust solutions. UI solution and system design: ability to translate problem statements into complete designs covering components, modules, state and data flow, interfaces, APIs, validation, error handling, performance, security, scalability, and testability. Design principles and patterns: sound knowledge of SOLID principles and relevant creational, structural, and behavioural patterns, applied pragmatically without unnecessary complexity. HTML and CSS: strong browser-based UI development and troubleshooting capability using standards-based web technologies. REST / OData integration: ability to consume, diagnose, and troubleshoot SAP Business One Service Layer APIs, HTTP services, and API contracts. Technical leadership: demonstrated ability to lead developers, review designs and code, enforce engineering standards, mentor team members, resolve technical blockers, and drive delivery decisions. Engineering discipline: strong experience with unit testing, code reviews, Git/GitHub or Perforce, Jira, and Agile/Scrum delivery. Other Requirements Node.js and TypeScript.
