Lam Research India team is organized into three major areas of responsibility: Hardware, Software, and Operations. We have an open position inthe Hardware group. The Hardware group, designs subassemblies and subsystems for Lam’sproduct lines, providing innovation for the next-generation products, providing improvements incost and reliability. In Hardware group, mechanical engineers, simulation analysts, electricalengineers, manufacturing engineers, and supplier quality engineers contribute to designing andimproving Lam’s products. ## **Impact you will make** As a Senior Mechanical Hardware Engineer in Lam, you're working on the engineeringdeliverables of complex subsystems and system from Leads and System Engineers to ensure itis first time right. Your role involves DFM assessments of components involving different fabrication process and design complexities, DFA assessment of complex assemblies etc. Apartfrom driving & reviewing the deliverables per drafting priority project list , you will also bementoring hardware designers in team on detailing to ensure seamless fabrication ofcomponents and systems. ## **The Group You’ll Be A Part Of** You will be part of the Dry Photoresist group and In this role you will report to the Manager of Dry Photoresist team in Lam India ## **Primary Responsibilities** - Implements design /design changes for medium to complex parts & Provide Solutions todocumentation quality issues like Problem Reports / Supplier Build issues. - Create/Update CAD models/Assemblies across complexities. - Experience in various fabrication methods - Sheet metal, Machining, Welding etc - Create and Supports manufacturing by documenting and releasing engineering drawings forsheet metal, machined parts, complex assemblies, gas line weldments etc acrosscomplexities & bills of materials using Engineering Change Management. - Manage and periodically report the status of Drafting priority list to all the stake holders. - Identify any shortcomings or opportunities around process improvement to drive quality andproductivity improvements. ## **Mandatory Skills** - 4+ Years of experience in creating Medium/High complex sub system models & Assemblies using -Unigraphics-NX - Proficient in creating and releasing drawing package for sheet metal, machined components,Weldments & Complex assemblies using Unigraphics-NX . - Experience in Unigraphics-NX Routing (Optional) - Proficiency & experience in various fabrication methods - Sheet metal, Machining, Welding etcto be able to drive DFM aspects in design. - Should have good knowledge on welding symbols, GD&T symbols, Surface finish & ASMEdrafting standards & DFM/DFA/DFS. ## **Desirable Skills** - Experience working with Team Center & Knowledge in Engineering Change ManagementProcess, SAP, PLM - Knowledge and exposure to ANSI, ASME, AWS, ISO, SEMI standards applicable tosemiconductor industry. - Knowledge on MS office software’s like MS Excel, MS Word & MS PowerPoint ## **Preferred qualifications** - Prior experience in the semiconductor equipment industry. - Experience in global cross-functional teams within a matrix organization. - Understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts. - Familiarity with Bills of Material (BOM) structure and configuration, and use of SAP and PLM system software. - Knowledge on industrial control panel design. - Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and technical presentation skills. ## **Our commitment** We believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
