**What is the job?** As a Room Attendant – you’ll make sure our rooms are always ‘fresh and welcoming’ for our guests after a busy day at work – creating a heaven for them to escape and relax in - or get a bit of last-minute work done. **Your day to day** - You’ll make sure our rooms are always at their best - we have standards - but it’s down to you to make that room special and memorable for guests - Help guests - you’ll be happy to help if someone needs a toothbrush or directions for example - Keep your supervisor updated on room service progress and alert them to any repairs needed - Safety aware – follow our established safety procedures at all times - and wear protective equipment when needed - Be organized - keep on top of supplies and amenities and always try to minimize waste - Reunite items with owners – and log any lost and found property - Look smart – wear your uniform with pride - Other ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done - Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping - Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures - Clean and service guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, replenishing supplies, and sanitizing bathrooms. - You’ll make sure our rooms are always at their best - we have standards - but it’s down to you to make that room special and memorable for guests - Keep your supervisor updated on room service progress and alert them to any repairs needed - Be organised - keep on top of supplies and amenities and always try to minimise waste - Replace linens and towels as per hotel standards. - Maintain cleanliness in public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms. - Ensure high-traffic areas are kept tidy throughout the day. - Reunite items with owners – and log any lost and found property - Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor. - Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimise waste within all areas of housekeeping - Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures **Guest Interaction** - Help guests - you’ll be happy to help if someone needs a toothbrush or directions for example - Address guest requests promptly and courteously. - Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while interacting with guests. **Health & Safety Compliance** - Safety aware – follow our established safety procedures at all times - and wear protective equipment when needed - Look smart – wear your uniform with pride - Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. **Team Collaboration** - Assist other team members in housekeeping and collaborate effectively during high-demand periods. - Other ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done - Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions **What We Need From You** - Education & Experience: - High school diploma, secondary education, or equivalent preferred. - Prior housekeeping experience in a hotel environment is an advantage but not mandatory. - Skills & Competencies: - Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and guest service standards. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. - It’s a physical role and you’ll be on your feet most of the day, so fitness is important - Strength – with occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds / 23 kilograms and or push/pulling heavy objects - Willingness to follow IHG cleanliness and safety standards. - Language Proficiency: - Must be able to communicate in the local language.
