Job Summary We are seeking a skilled IT Analyst Applications (Java Developer) to join Order Fulfillment & Procurement – Cat IT Division team. The role involves developing, enhancing, and supporting business-critical Procurement, Supply Chain, and Sales applications. The ideal candidate will have strong Java development expertise, experience with enterprise application support, and a willingness to work closely with business stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable solutions. The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore – Caterpillar PSN This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule. Shift Timing : 01:00-10:00PM IST Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications. • Support Procurement, Supply Chain, and Sales applications across development and production environments. • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Develop APIs, integrations, and backend services for enterprise platforms. • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis. • Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams. • Participate in application modernization, enhancement, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices. • Support application deployments, testing, and release activities. • Contribute to Agile development processes and sprint delivery. Required Technical Skills • 3 to 5 years of experience in Java application development. • Strong knowledge of: • Java 25 • Spring Boot • RESTful APIs • SQL and Database Development • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) • Microservices Architecture • Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or similar relational databases. • Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. • Experience working with cloud platforms and enterprise integrations is preferred. • Understanding of application support and incident management processes. Preferred Skills • Experience with Procurement, Supply Chain, or Sales business applications. • Knowledge of integration technologies such as SnapLogic, APIs, or messaging platforms. • Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS, or enterprise data platforms. • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies. • Experience supporting global business applications and stakeholders. Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global team environment.
