Lead Data Scientist Experience: 8+ Years Location: Bangalore, India Job Purpose As a Lead Data Scientist, you will spearhead the development of next-generation AI solutions for one of the worlds largest retail ecosystems. You will move beyond static modeling to build Agentic AI systems capable of autonomous reasoning and real-time decision-making across supply chain, pricing, and personalized customer journeys. You will be a hands-on technical leader, mentoring senior talent and defining the architectural vision for complex, large-scale data products. Key Responsibilities • Strategic Leadership: Define the roadmap for Agentic AI and Advanced ML initiatives, aligning technical capabilities with global business goals such as waste reduction and inventory optimization. • End-to-End Delivery: Lead the design and deployment of scalable ML models on big data architectures (Hadoop/Spark), ensuring production-grade reliability and performance. • Expert Problem Solving: Apply advanced Optimization algorithms and Design of Experiments (DoE) to solve non-linear business challenges in logistics and retail operations. • Technical Mentorship: Drive engineering excellence by enforcing best practices in GitHub workflows, modular code design, and automated testing. • Stakeholder Influence: Translate complex mathematical outcomes into clear, actionable narratives for executive leadership using Tableau and PowerPoint. Required Skills & Qualifications • Advanced ML & Math: Deep expertise in Regression, Decision Trees, Clustering, and Forecasting. Mastery of Applied Statistics and NLP (specifically LLMs and Agentic Frameworks). • Tech Stack: Expert-level Python and SQL. Hands-on experience with Spark/Hadoop and large-scale data processing. • Domain Expertise: Proven track record in retail, e-commerce, or supply chain analytics, specifically using Optimization for inventory or pricing. • Education: Master’s or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
