**Lead Engineer** **Report To:** Senior Manager **Department:** Risk Quants Services **Location** : Gurugram **?** **Job Summary** Evalueserve is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer / BI Professional with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, MSBI (SSIS), Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL technologies. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions, building ETL pipelines, and supporting business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a curiosity to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, and Python-based data processing is an added advantage **Key Responsibilities** ????????? Design, develop, optimize, and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring high performance, scalability, and data integrity. ????????? Develop and support ETL solutions using Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS) for data integration, transformation, and migration activities. ????????? Build, manage, and enhance cloud-based data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL services. ????????? Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements and translate them into technical solutions. ????????? Perform data analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause identification for data quality and operational issues. ????????? Participate in database design reviews and implement best practices for data modeling, indexing, and performance tuning. ????????? Support data migration, integration, and modernization initiatives involving cloud and on-premise environments. ????????? Work effectively with cross-functional and distributed teams to ensure successful project delivery. ????????? Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for automation and process optimization. ????????? Assist in the evaluation and implementation of emerging technologies including Snowflake, Databricks, and Python-based data engineering solutions. **Required Qualifications** ????????? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. ????????? Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. ????????? Comprehensive understanding of SQL Server database design, development, and performance optimization. ????????? Hands-on experience with Microsoft BI technologies, particularly SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). ????????? Experience working with Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and cloud-based data pipelines. ????????? Strong understanding of ETL, data warehousing, and data integration concepts. ????????? Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. ????????? Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and business stakeholders. ????????? Curiosity and willingness to understand business processes and convert business requirements into technical solutions. ? **Preferred Qualifications** ????????? Experience with Snowflake Cloud Data Platform. ????????? Experience in Python for data processing, automation, and analytics use cases. ????????? Exposure to Databricks and modern data engineering frameworks. ????????? Experience working with cloud-based analytics and data modernization projects. ????????? Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project collaboration tools. ????????? Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and security best practices.
