Lead Engineer- Python (PostgreSQL)

**Overview** We are looking for a **Lead Python Developer** with strong expertise in **PostgreSQL** and telecom domain exposure to drive next-generation digital transformation initiatives. This role involves building scalable backend systems, enabling OSS/BSS integrations, and supporting telecom clients in areas such as network automation, service orchestration, and customer experience platforms **Responsibilities** - Lead end-to-end design and development of backend systems using Python - Build and optimize data-driven applications leveraging PostgreSQL - Work on telecom-specific platforms including OSS/BSS systems - Design APIs and microservices for seamless system integrations - Drive network automation and service provisioning workflows - Collaborate with client stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams - Mentor team members, enforce coding standards, and conduct reviews - Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of applications **Requirements** **Required Skills & Qualifications** - Strong experience in Python (Django / Flask / FastAPI) - Deep expertise in PostgreSQL: - Performance tuning and query optimization - Indexing, partitioning, and schema design - Solid understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture - Experience working with telecom systems: - OSS/BSS platforms - Order management, service provisioning, or billing systems - Hands-on experience with ORMs (SQLAlchemy / Django ORM) - Exposure to cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP) - Proficiency in Git and CI/CD practices - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills - Telecom Domain Expertise (Preferred) - Understanding of telecom frameworks such as: - TM Forum (eTOM, SID, Open APIs) - Experience in areas like: - Network inventory management - Service orchestration - 5G / Fiber / Broadband systems - Integration experience with third-party telecom platforms - Preferred Qualifications - Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) - Knowledge of event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ) - Exposure to data engineering or ETL pipelines - Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) - Education - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
