**Skill: Lead SQL Data Engineer** **Experience:** 8 to 12 **Years** **Location: mumbai- ville parle** **Shift Time- General/Morning shift,** **Workmode :5 days a week** **Job Description-** - Play the role of technical lead for development of complext data pipelines for populating data through medallion architecture. - Work closely with BA and data modelling team to understanding the functional requirements and build data processing pipelines accordingly. - Strong understanding of Teradata SQL and data engineering principles is a must. - Should have proven experience with leading a small team on data engineering tasks including core development and automations. - Design and develop frameworks for accelerating SQL develepment based on data model and source to target mappings. - Mentor and guide junior developers in SQL development, testing and documentation tasks. - Perform code reviews and ensure quality standards are met - Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures to ensure optimum performance - Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery - Establish best practices for data processing, data migration and data validation Required Skills : - 10+ years of experience in SQL development and database management - 3+ years of experience in leading data engineering projects - heavy on SQL development and frameworks design - Strong expertise in SQL programming and optimization, preferably Teradata but Ansi-SQL will also work. - Understanding of Teradata architecture & FSDM/FSAS industry standard data models will be an added advantage. - Experience in Life Insurance domain will be an added advantage - Should have experience in leading the development of silver and gold layer data processing pipelines - Proficient in writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions - Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Strong leadership and team management abilities. Should be ready to get hands dirty and lead the team by example at the same time holding each individual accountable. - Excellent communication and documentation skills
