Overview Northern Trust is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Lead to join our HR Technology team. As a senior application consultant, you will lead the architecture, design, implementation, and support of enterprise Human Resources technology solutions that support the global employee lifecycle. The successful candidate will partner closely with HR business leaders, Product Owners, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, vendors, and application support teams to deliver scalable, secure, and business-focused solutions across Human Capital Management (HCM), Talent, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Learning, Mobility, Workforce Analytics, and Employee Experience platforms. Key Responsibilities Architecture & Strategy • Define and maintain the HR Technology architecture roadmap aligned with business strategy and enterprise standards. • Evaluate HR technology solutions and recommend platforms that best meet business and operational needs. • Partner with HR leaders to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions. • Identify modernization opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives. • Ensure solutions align with Northern Trust architecture, security, risk, and compliance standards. Application Portfolio Management • Lead architecture and implementation activities across HR technology platforms, including: • Workday HCM • Recruiting & Talent Management Solutions • Learning Management Systems • Payroll Systems • Benefits Administration Platforms • Employee Experience Solutions • Mobility & Relocation Platforms • Workforce Planning & Analytics Tools • Develop application roadmaps and lifecycle management strategies. • Manage vendor relationships and influence product direction where appropriate. Delivery & Operational Excellence • Lead multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously while balancing competing priorities. • Support annual platform releases and major transformation programs. • Collaborate with development, operations, infrastructure, and support teams to resolve complex issues. • Review technical designs and provide architectural guidance throughout project lifecycles. • Drive incident reduction through proactive architecture improvements. Qualifications Required • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources Technology, or equivalent experience. • Minimum 10 years of experience in enterprise application architecture, development, or technical leadership. • Experience implementing and supporting SaaS-based HR applications. • Strong understanding of HR processes will be added advantage. • Experience with cloud-based integr
