If you're a validation expert who thrives on system-level challenges, hardware debugging, and cross-functional leadership , this role was built for you. 🔎 About the Role We are looking for an experienced Lead Validation Engineer – DC-DC Power Solutions to join our Mid-Vin Buck (MVB) team within TI's Power Products division. You will own the end-to-end validation lifecycle — from board design and test plan development to silicon bring-up and customer issue resolution — for cutting-edge mid-voltage regulators serving enterprise computing, industrial, AI, and autonomous driving markets. This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role with a strong team leadership component , where your work directly ensures that TI's power solutions meet the most rigorous customer and market requirements. 📌 Key Responsibilities • Design and develop validation boards (schematics & PCB layout) aligned with customer use-cases and EVMs — including modularization, mixed-signal challenge resolution, and hardware scalability • Build and document comprehensive validation plans with deep understanding of both device behavior and system environment • Define validation strategy across hardware, software, and instrumentation • Develop and implement validation test cases using scripting languages (Python, TestStand, LabView, etc.) • Silicon bring-up on bench — perform system-level and parametric testing with a "break-the-part" mentality • Collaborate with Design and Firmware teams to support customer needs and implement custom firmware features; identify and resolve FW-level bugs and workarounds • Drive device and setup debug independently through to closure • Engage with application engineers on customer issues — provide device-level insight, fixes, and modifications • Lead, mentor, and guide junior validation engineers within the team 🛠️ Minimum Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field • 5+ years of relevant validation/hardware engineering experience (8+ preferred) 🌟 Preferred Qualifications • Proven experience in analog product validation engineering • Strong hardware debugging skills — bench and system level • Experience in simulating and designing DC-DC converters and/or inverters • Knowledge of power semiconductor switches — MOSFET, IGBT, SiC MOSFET • Expertise in Simplis, Matlab, Altium, PSPICE, LabView, Python • Schematic and PCB layout design in Altium — signal grounding, routing, and optimization • Strong time management with ability to deliver complex tasks on schedule • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • A meticulous, high-quality mindset with deep system-level debug experience • Ability to foster a creative, productive, and collaborative team environment 💡 Why Texas Instruments? 🌱 Growth: Lead validation for cutting-edge power ICs serving AI, automotive & industrial markets 🏆 Impact: Your validation work ensures quality for millions of power devices shipped globally 🤝 Culture: Collaborative, inclusive & innovation-driven engineering environment 💰 Compensation: Competitive salary & comprehensive benefits 📚 Learning: Access to world-class tools, firmware collaboration & cross-functional expertise 🔬 Innovation: Work with top semiconductor design, test, and applications engineers in the industry
