Job Title: Mainframe Production Support Analyst **Experience:** 3 to 10 Years **Location:** Hyderabad (or as applicable) **Employment Type:** Fulltime **Shift:** Rotational / Night Shift (as per business needs) Job Description We are looking for an experienced **Mainframe Production Support Analyst** to provide L2/L3 support for critical business applications running on Mainframe systems. The role involves monitoring production environments, incident management, batch job support, and ensuring high system availability and performance. Key Responsibilities - Provide **production support** for Mainframe applications (L2/L3) - Monitor production systems and batch jobs to ensure timely completion - Perform **incident management**, root cause analysis, and issue resolution - Handle **job abends**, file failures, performance issues, and system alerts - Coordinate with development, QA, infrastructure, and vendor teams - Perform **restart/recovery procedures** for failed jobs - Support **change management**, releases, and deployments - Respond to incidents and service requests as per **SLA** - Prepare and maintain production support documentation and SOPs - Participate in oncall support and weekend support rotations - Ensure compliance with audit and security requirements Required Skills & Qualifications - **310 years** of experience in **Mainframe Production Support** - Strong handson experience with: - **COBOL, JCL** - **VSAM** - **CICS** - **DB2** - Experience with **Batch Processing** - Good knowledge of **Mainframe utilities** (IDCAMS, SORT, IEBGENER, etc.) - Experience using **Job Scheduling tools** (ControlM / CA7 / TWS) - Familiarity with **incident and ticketing tools** (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.) - Understanding of **ITIL processes** (Incident, Problem, Change Management) - Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills - Good communication and stakeholdermanagement skills
