Job Title: Mainframe Production Support Analyst Experience: 3 to 10 Years Location: Hyderabad (or as applicable) Employment Type: Fulltime Shift: Rotational / Night Shift (as per business needs) Job Description We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Production Support Analyst to provide L2/L3 support for critical business applications running on Mainframe systems. The role involves monitoring production environments, incident management, batch job support, and ensuring high system availability and performance. Key Responsibilities • Provide production support for Mainframe applications (L2/L3) • Monitor production systems and batch jobs to ensure timely completion • Perform incident management, root cause analysis, and issue resolution • Handle job abends, file failures, performance issues, and system alerts • Coordinate with development, QA, infrastructure, and vendor teams • Perform restart/recovery procedures for failed jobs • Support change management, releases, and deployments • Respond to incidents and service requests as per SLA • Prepare and maintain production support documentation and SOPs • Participate in oncall support and weekend support rotations • Ensure compliance with audit and security requirements Required Skills & Qualifications • 310 years of experience in Mainframe Production Support • Strong handson experience with: • COBOL, JCL • VSAM • CICS • DB2 • Experience with Batch Processing • Good knowledge of Mainframe utilities (IDCAMS, SORT, IEBGENER, etc.) • Experience using Job Scheduling tools (ControlM / CA7 / TWS) • Familiarity with incident and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.) • Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management) • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills • Good communication and stakeholdermanagement skills
