Mainframe Testing Engineer

Role & responsibilities Key Responsibilities • Analyze business requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data. • Perform Functional, System, Integration, and Regression Testing for Mainframe applications. • Validate batch processing, file transfers, and online transactions. • Execute test cases and report defects using defect tracking tools. • Coordinate with development and business teams for issue resolution. • Participate in test planning, estimation, and status reporting. • Support UAT activities and production validation. Mandatory Skills • Strong experience in Mainframe Testing. • Hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS. • Experience in Batch Testing and File Validation. • Good understanding of SDLC and STLC processes. • Experience in Test Case Preparation and Execution. • Strong SQL/DB2 Query knowledge. • Experience with defect management tools such as JIRA or ALM. • Knowledge of Agile methodologies. Good to Have • Banking/Financial Services domain experience. • Exposure to Automation Testing concepts. • Knowledge of API Testing. • Experience with End-to-End Integration Testing. • Production Support and Release Validation experience. Required Candidate Profile • 6-10 years of relevant Mainframe Testing experience. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Good communication and stakeholder management skills. • Willingness to attend a Face-to-Face interview in Bangalore on 05 Sep. • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
