Job Description To support and render engineering expertise for the project engineering activities related to Steel Melting Shop of an integrated steel plant a)   a) Conceptualize the Steel Melting shop of a steel plant b)  b)  Knowledge of various Steel making equipment & systems and selection criteria (primary & secondary steel making/refining) c)    c) Capex and Opex estimation of Steel Making shop d)   d) Coordinate with technology supplier and engineering agencies + equipment vendors for timely delivery of engineering of project e)   e) Preparation and release of specifications of SMS equipment, tender appraisal for technological & mechanical equipment’s f)    f) Coordinate and approve equipment vendors engineering g)   g) Approve the engineering released by basic & detailed engineering agencies/ technology suppliers h)   h) Maintain the engineering at centralized documentation center i)    i) Value engineering in terms of review of major engineering deliverables before execution for a possible value addition in order to optimize the Capex and Opex. j)    j) Take up possible reverse engineering for any spare parts or engineering of small facilities which can be done internally without depending on external consultants Skills Conceptualization of Steel Making shop for a steel plant.Value engineering / Approval of basic & detailed engineering Other details Minimum Qualification - BE/B.tech ( Metallurgy/ Mechanical) Equilvalent in any discipline or B.Arch AICTE or UGC approved.
