Your future duties and responsibilities ead techno-functional design and solution definition for complex payment systems, translating business requirements into scalable and resilient solutions Act as a bridge between business, product, and engineering teams, ensuring alignment across requirements, design, and implementation Drive requirement elicitation, analysis, and documentation, including BRDs, functional specifications, process flows, data/message mappings, and user stories Own end-to-end functional design for payment flows, including initiation, validation, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, and exception handling Define and review functional decomposition aligned to microservices and domain-driven design principles Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to ensure functional designs align with technical architecture (such as microservices, MQ or Kafka-based event flows, database modelling, UI design etc.). Validate functional designs against non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, resiliency, security, and regulatory compliance Support Development, FAT, UAT and implementation phases, including scenario definition, validation support, and issue analysis. Provide functional guidance during production issue analysis and root cause investigations, especially for payment failures and reconciliation breaks. Engage directly with clients and senior stakeholders, presenting designs, explaining solution options, and influencing design decisions Contribute to solution selling and pre-sales activities, including proposal support, solution walkthroughs, and client discussions. Mentor junior designers and analysts, promoting best practices and thought leadership in payments design. Contribute to future-state architecture and product roadmap discussions, incorporating industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies. Ensure all functional artifacts are accurate, complete, and audit-ready, supporting operational and compliance needs.
