About the role This position is responsible to formulate & drive safety standards covering all legal and statutory requirements & be proactive in assessing all possible risks and mitigation actions, ensuring accident / incident free workplace You will be responsible for • Demonstrate the highest standards of integrity and compliance with the Business Code of Conduct while driving a strong safety culture across the organization. • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing EHS team through effective performance management, mentoring, and succession planning. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EHS performance, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance. • Develop and implement EHS strategies, policies, standards, and programs to mitigate workplace risks, prevent incidents, and ensure business continuity. • Provide strategic EHS governance for all owned and leased facilities, ensuring compliance with applicable environmental, health, safety, and construction regulations. • Conduct EHS audits, inspections, due diligence assessments, incident investigations, and risk assessments across facilities and major business events. • Establish and oversee contractor, vendor, and construction safety management programs, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements including the Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Act. • Liaise with regulatory authorities including Fire Services, Department of Factories & Boilers, Pollution Control Board, and other statutory bodies for compliance, permits, and inspections. • Lead emergency preparedness, fire safety, crisis management, and occupational health programs to protect employees, visitors, and business operations. • Develop and deliver EHS training, awareness campaigns, and competency-building programs to strengthen organizational safety culture. • Implement, maintain, and continuously improve ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, and other relevant management systems. • Drive sustainability initiatives including carbon accounting, ESG reporting, decarbonization programs, Net Zero roadmap implementation, and environmental performance improvement. • Lead Green Building initiatives and certification programs such as LEED and WELL. • Collaborate with global EHS leadership to implement the Group Safety Blueprint, standardize best practices, and continuously elevate EHS maturity across the organization. • Monitor, analyze, and report EHS and sustainability performance metrics, ensuring delivery of business objectives and compliance commitments. You will need Experience relevant for this job: Graduate engineer in environmental sciences or any branch with post-graduation in environmental sciencesDiploma in Industrial Safety Management or NEBOSH idip or ASP/CSP preferred Ability to communicate in local language will be an added advantageUnderstanding of Kaizen, 5S, OSHAS, ISO standards, NEBOSH Operational skills relevant for this job: Environment Health & Safety Workplace risk assessment & mitigationFire & Safety - National Building CodeNEBOSH certified or ASP/CSP preferred Training Delivery Whats in it for you?
