About the Role We are looking for an experienced Manager Manufacturing Engineering to lead and manage manufacturing engineering projects for electric vehicle prototypes at our Oragadam facility. The role plays a crucial part in the development and execution of innovative manufacturing processes and strategies, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality vehicle prototypes. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Execution • Lead and manage manufacturing engineering projects for EV vehicle prototypes end to end • Develop and execute innovative manufacturing processes and strategies • Manage project timelines and ensure timely delivery of prototypes • Prepare and present project updates and reports to stakeholders Digital & Physical Mockup • Oversee digital and physical mockup creation and layout planning • Ensure accuracy and quality of prototype builds as per design specifications • Manage prototype build-up activities from concept to completion Cross-Functional Collaboration • Collaborate with R&D, Design, and Production teams for seamless project execution • Provide technical expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams • Support integration of new manufacturing technologies into prototype processes Technology & Innovation • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in electric vehicle manufacturing • Drive adoption of new manufacturing technologies and simulation tools • Apply CAD/CAM software and manufacturing simulation tools for process development Team Development • Mentor and guide junior team members on manufacturing engineering best practices • Build team capability in EV manufacturing processes and technologies Knowledge & Skills Required • Proven track record in managing prototype build-up and digital/physical mockup projects • Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams • In-depth knowledge of vehicle manufacturing processes and technologies • Experience in electric vehicle manufacturing preferred • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and manufacturing simulation tools • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Effective communication and presentation skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Other Abilities • Strong leadership and mentoring capability • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies • Strategic thinker with strong execution discipline • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
