The Opportunity We are looking for a strong systems/distributed systems engineer to join the Nutanix Cloud Manager team and develop key features for our on-prem and cloud releases. The Nutanix Cloud Manager team works on building monitoring,observability and automation software that leverages the power of ML , analytics and large scale data data-platform services. We are currently looking for experienced self motivated software engineers with expertise and passion in solving challenging problems in distributed systems and virtualized infrastructure. Your Role - Building monitoring,observability and automation software that leverages the power of ML , analytics, cloud native paradigms and large scale data data-platform services. - Build and optimize distributed systems that can scale for large volumes of data. - Architect, design and develop scalable, fault-tolerant services on-prem or cloud. - Improve performance and scalability of various components in the system stack. - Work closely with development, test, documentation and product management teams to deliver high quality products and services. What You Will Bring - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related field required. - 1.5-3 years of experience designing and developing large scale software applications. - Strong coding experience in Python, Golang, Java - Strong understanding of data structure and algorithms. - Strong understanding of virtualization and containerisation, kubernetes and cloud native technologies. - Strong understanding of datacenter design including compute, storage, and networking and familiarity with on prem, cloud and hybrid software deployment architectures - Experience in designing and tuning high performance system software. - Experience in working with large codebases or contribution to open source is a strong plus. Work Arrangement Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
