Job Title : **Power Electronics Design Engineer** Experience Range **4-6 Years** **SMART7415\\_HM** Role Summary We are seeking a Power Electronics Design Engineer with strong expertise in inverter and converter design, power semiconductor technologies, and end-to-end hardware development. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, validating, and certifying power electronic systems for Automotive, Aerospace, or Defense applications. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop AC-DC converters, DC-DC converters, and motor inverter systems. - Execute complete hardware development lifecycle activities including requirements management, design, development, verification, validation, qualification, and certification. - Select and implement power semiconductor technologies including Silicon (Si), Silicon Carbide (SiC), and Gallium Nitride (GaN). - Design switching circuits, gate drivers, modulation techniques, and filter architectures. - Perform analog and digital circuit analysis, FMEA, stress analysis, derating studies, worst-case analysis, and tolerance analysis. - Integrate power electronic subsystems into larger electrical and electronic systems. - Conduct troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to improve system reliability and performance. - Support EMI/EMC testing, compliance activities, and certification processes. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout product development and qualification phases. Must-Have Skills - Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic design with expertise in **Power Electronics** . - Experience in designing: - AC-DC Converters - DC-DC Converters - Motor Inverters - Knowledge of **Si, SiC, and GaN power semiconductor devices** . - Experience with complete hardware development lifecycle. - Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design and analysis. - Experience performing: - FMEA - Stress Analysis - Derating Analysis - Worst-Case Analysis - Tolerance Analysis - Strong troubleshooting and failure analysis skills. - Understanding of power system integration and system-level design considerations. Preferred Skills - Knowledge of: - DO-160 - DO-178 - DO-254 - IEC Standards - SAE Standards - Experience with PCB design guidelines and high-power layout techniques. - Strong knowledge of high-power and low-power electronics design. - Experience with Electronics Controller Product Lifecycle Management. - Hands-on experience with simulation tools such as: - PSpice - MATLAB - Simulink - SiMetrix - PLECS - Experience in Power Converter design and validation. Domain Expertise - Automotive - Aerospace - Defense Additional Requirements - Knowledge of EMI/EMC design, testing, and certification. - Familiarity with CE, e-Mark, and environmental compliance processes. - Expertise in high-power design and PCB layout best practices. Educational Qualifications - **Bachelor?s or Master?s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics, or related discipline.**
