Palo Alto Networks - Firewalls L3 Engineer **Years of Experience:** 8+ Years **Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Palo Alto Networks - Firewalls L3 Engineer with over 8 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, demonstrating a strong ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex firewall solutions. This role is critical in ensuring the security and integrity of our network infrastructure. **Responsibilities** - Design, implement, and manage Palo Alto Networks firewall solutions to meet organizational security requirements. - Conduct regular assessments and audits of firewall configurations to ensure compliance with security policies. - Troubleshoot and resolve firewall-related issues, providing timely support to internal teams. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate firewall solutions with existing network infrastructure. - Stay updated on the latest security threats and trends, applying this knowledge to enhance firewall configurations. - Document firewall configurations, policies, and procedures for future reference and compliance. - Provide training and support to junior engineers and other team members on Palo Alto Networks firewall technologies. **Mandatory Skills** - Strong expertise in Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including configuration, management, and troubleshooting. - In-depth knowledge of network security principles and best practices. - Experience with firewall policies, rules, and security profiles. - Proficiency in network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.). - Ability to analyze and interpret network traffic logs and reports. **Preferred Skills** - Certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or equivalent. - Experience with other security technologies (IDS/IPS, VPN, etc.). - Familiarity with cloud security solutions and architectures. - Knowledge of scripting languages for automation (Python, Bash, etc.). **Qualifications** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 8+ years of experience in network security, with a focus on Palo Alto Networks firewalls. - Proven track record of successfully managing and implementing firewall projects. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
