Job Requirements Role Summary Build, maintain, and operate the network simulation lab and verify the solution from a networking perspective. The engineer should be a strong network specialist with a validation mindset who can reproduce customer environments, automate network scenarios, execute test cases, and diagnose complex field and deployment issues. Essential Responsibilities: • Design, configure, document, and maintain physical and virtual network test environments for Polaris. • Configure routers, managed switches, VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, NAT, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs, WAN/MPLS concepts, and relevant 4G/5G or CGNAT scenarios. • Create network simulation and automation scripts for latency, jitter, packet loss, bandwidth constraints, disconnections, NAT behavior, and recovery scenarios. • Develop network-focused V&V plans, test cases, execution evidence, reports, regression coverage, and defect records. • Validate performance, reliability, resilience, connectivity, audio/video streaming, signaling, remote access, and screen-sharing behavior. • Use packet captures, application logs, metrics, and structured troubleshooting to isolate root causes. • Coordinate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, engineering, product, verification, and customer-facing teams. Work Experience Must-have Skills & Experience: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, IT, or a related field. • 7-10 years of relevant network engineering, system validation, test engineering, or infrastructure engineering experience. • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching, VLANs, NAT, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs, MPLS/WAN, and network performance analysis. • Hands-on experience with Cisco, MikroTik, Fortinet, pfSense, Juniper, or equivalent platforms, together with managed switches, routers, and firewalls. • Experience with Wireshark, packet capture analysis, Linux, connectivity troubleshooting, latency, packet loss, jitter, and log analysis. • Ability to automate tests or simulations using Python, Bash, or PowerShell. • Experience establishing and managing physical labs and test environments. • Ability to work in person from the Bengaluru office. Preferred Qualifications: • WebRTC knowledge, including ICE, STUN, TURN, and audio/video streaming concepts. • Experience with LiveKit, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or similar real-time communication platforms. • AWS infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise network architecture, healthcare or medical-device experience. • Experience supporting customer deployments and field investigations.
