The Plant & Machinery Manager/In-Charge is responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and controlling all construction plant, equipment, and machinery operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective project execution. The role involves managing the mobilization, deployment, maintenance, utilization, and demobilization of construction equipment such as cranes, excavators, loaders, piling rigs, generators, compressors, boom lifts, telehandlers, concrete pumps, batching plants, welding machines, and other heavy construction machinery. The incumbent shall ensure that all equipment is available and operational to support project requirements while maintaining compliance with safety regulations, manufacturer recommendations, and company procedures. Key responsibilities include preparing equipment deployment plans, monitoring machinery utilization, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities, maintaining equipment records and certifications, managing fuel consumption, and controlling operational costs. The Plant & Machinery Manager/In-Charge shall coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and workshop personnel to ensure timely equipment availability and minimize downtime. The role also includes conducting equipment inspections, maintaining maintenance schedules, managing spare parts inventory, evaluating equipment performance, and ensuring compliance with statutory inspection and certification requirements. Additional responsibilities include preparing utilization reports, maintenance reports, breakdown analyses, and equipment productivity assessments, while supporting project planning and resource forecasting activities. The candidate shall ensure strict adherence to HSE requirements, lifting regulations, and operational safety standards. Experience in Data Centre, Industrial, Infrastructure, Power, Oil & Gas, Commercial Building, or Large Construction Projects is preferred. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of heavy construction equipment operations, maintenance management systems, fleet management, lifting equipment, preventive maintenance practices, and cost control. A Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5 + years of relevant experience in plant and machinery management is required. Strong leadership, planning, coordination, troubleshooting, and communication skills are essential for ensuring maximum equipment availability and efficient project execution.
