Network Data L1 Engineer Years of Experience: 3 Years Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network Data L1 Engineer with a foundational understanding of networking concepts and protocols, particularly in routing and switching. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn and grow within the networking field, with a focus on BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) and other routing protocols. This entry-level position is perfect for recent graduates or individuals with limited experience looking to kickstart their career in network engineering. Responsibilities: • Assist in the configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network devices, including routers and switches. • Support the implementation and maintenance of routing protocols, with a focus on BGP. • Collaborate with senior engineers to analyze network performance and identify areas for improvement. • Participate in network design discussions and contribute to documentation efforts. • Provide technical support to internal teams and assist in resolving network-related issues. • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to networking. Mandatory Skills: • Basic understanding of networking concepts, including OSI model, TCP/IP, and subnetting. • Familiarity with routing protocols, specifically BGP. • Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of additional routing protocols such as OSPF and EIGRP. • Experience with network security concepts and practices. • Familiarity with network management software and tools. • Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash) for automation tasks. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus but not required. • Demonstrated interest in networking through internships, projects, or coursework.
