Job description

Key Responsibilities • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-optimized cloud infrastructure on AWS. Lead architectural decisions by leveraging AWS best practices across Compute, Networking, Storage, Security, and AI/ML services while ensuring operational excellence and governance compliance. • Infrastructure Automation IaC: Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, OpenTofu, and AWS CloudFormation. Build reusable, scalable Terraform modules from scratch and implement automation using Python and Bash scripting to streamline provisioning, deployments, configuration management, and operational tasks. • Incident Management Operational Support: Lead troubleshooting and resolution of infrastructure, application, security, and networking incidents. Participate in on-call rotations, manage major incident responses, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and drive corrective and preventive actions to improve platform reliability. • Security Compliance: Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, network security controls, vulnerability management, and governance policies. Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards through continuous monitoring and security assessments. • Performance Cost Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize cloud resources to improve performance, scalability, availability, and cost efficiency. Recommend and implement architectural improvements and resource optimization strategies. • Monitoring, Observability Alerting: Design and manage monitoring and observability solutions using AWS CloudWatch, Splunk, and ServiceNow. Develop dashboards, alerts, and automation workflows to proactively identify issues, improve operational visibility, and minimize service disruptions. • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with development, architecture, security, and infrastructure teams to support application deployments, modernization initiatives, and cloud adoption programs. Promote DevOps best practices and automation across the organization. • Documentation Knowledge Management: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including cloud architectures, operational runbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), deployment guides, disaster recovery plans, and incident reports. • Hands-on container experience: Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing container-based cloud-native applications using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and related container orchestration platforms. • Serverless Architectures: Strong expertise in building and supporting serverless architectures on cloud platforms (AWS), leveraging services such as AWS Lambda to develop scalable and cost-effective solutions.
