**Job Requisition ID #** 26WD96739 Responsibilities  Lead the design, development, and evolution of scalable, secure, and high- performance backend services using Node.js and TypeScript  Drive architectural decisions and technical strategy across multiple teams and product areas  Establish and promote engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, documentation, and operational excellence  Design and review distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and cloud-native solutions with a focus on scalability and reliability  Lead cross-functional technical initiatives and collaborate with Architects, DevOps, Product, Security, and Support teams  Translate complex business requirements into architectural designs, technical roadmaps, and execution plans  Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve productivity and code quality  Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues while improving system reliability and performance  Evaluate technologies, frameworks, and architectural patterns to support long-term platform growth  Mentor senior engineers, lead design reviews, and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning  Influence engineering direction through architecture reviews, technical leadership, and strategic planning  Support operational excellence through incident reviews, reliability improvements, and production readiness initiatives Minimum Qualifications  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field  10+ years of software development experience with strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React)  Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems and microservices architectures  Strong experience building and governing REST and/or gRPC APIs  Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and hands-on experience with AWS services  Experience implementing comprehensive automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing  Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and performance optimization  Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, or similar tools  Experience creating and reviewing technical design documentation including HLDs, LLDs, RFCs, and architectural proposals  Strong problem-solving, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills The Ideal Candidate  Passionate about designing and scaling highly reliable distributed systems  Recognized technical leader who drives architectural excellence across teams  Balances strategic thinking with hands-on technical execution  Champions engineering standards, code quality, and platform scalability  Experienced in leading large technical initiatives with organization-wide impact  Continuously explores emerging technologies and modern engineering practices  Experienced with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and prompt engineering techniques  Familiar with observability and monitoring platforms such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry  Strong mentor who develops technical talent and influences engineering culture  Able to align technical strategy with business goals and drive long-term technology direction ****Learn More**** **About Autodesk** Welcome to Autodesk!
