End Date Thursday 03 September 2026 We Support Flexible Working – Click here for more information on flexible working options Flexible Working Options Hybrid Working Job Description Summary We’re looking for a Principal Software Engineer to help modernise and transform our Markets Surveillance platforms, spanning Electronic & Voice Surveillance and Trade Surveillance. In this role, you’ll design and build cloud native, data driven solutions that underpin critical regulatory and market monitoring capabilities. You’ll work in agile, cross functional teams and play a key role in shaping technical direction while mentoring other engineers. Location: LTC, Hyderabad YOE: 16-20 years Mode: Hybrid Job Description What you’ll do • Design and develop high‑quality backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and Python • Build scalable microservices, APIs, and data pipelines supporting surveillance analytics and alerting • Develop and contribute to data products leveraging GCP and BigQuery • Work with batch and real‑time data processing patterns for large‑scale datasets • Contribute to modern frontend experiences using React or Angular • Lead technical design discussions and influence architectural decisions • Mentor engineers and promote strong engineering standards and best practices • Champion automation, testing, CI/CD, and cloud‑native delivery • Ensure solutions are secure, resilient, and production‑ready What you’ll bring (Essential) • Strong experience with Java and Python in enterprise environments • Hands‑on expertise building microservice‑based architectures • Proven experience working with GCP , including BigQuery and cloud‑native services • Experience designing, building, and supporting data products and analytics platforms • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes , and modern CI/CD pipelines • Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks ( React or Angular ) • Confidence providing technical leadership and mentoring • Experience working in Agile teams delivering complex systems Nice to have • Experience in Markets, Surveillance, or regulatory platforms • Exposure to streaming, Spark, or large‑scale data processing • Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and secure API design
