Job Title: Senior Python Engineer AI AWS Location: Hyderabad / Chennai / Bangalore Experience: 5 to 7 Years Position Description CGI is seeking an experienced Senior Python Engineer with 5+ years of experience in backend application development, cloud technologies, and AI-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, AWS, data processing, and Large Language Models (LLMs), with proven experience building scalable, secure, and production-grade applications. Your future duties and responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications following object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and software engineering best practices. • Develop and optimize high-performance RESTful APIs using FastAPI. • Design robust backend services with a focus on scalability, security, and maintainability. • Develop efficient data processing pipelines using Python data structures and algorithms. • Perform data analysis and transformation using Pandas, NumPy, and DataFrames. • Build file processing solutions for PDF, CSV, Excel, Word, and other structured and unstructured document formats. • Develop data visualization and reporting capabilities using Matplotlib. • Design and implement cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services. • Integrate and manage Amazon S3, Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL, and AWS Lambda for scalable application development. • Automate AWS services using Boto3. • Design and implement AI-powered features using OpenAI APIs and enterprise-grade Large Language Models (LLMs). • Build intelligent workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, and Pydantic AI. • Develop AI solutions utilizing modern LLMs such as ChatGPT-5, Claude Sonnet 4.5, and AWS Nova. • Optimize prompt engineering strategies and LLM orchestration for enterprise applications. • Implement application security, logging, monitoring, and performance optimization best practices. • Collaborate with product owners, architects, cloud engineers, and cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle. • Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, mentoring, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Must-Have Skills: • 57 years of experience in software development with strong expertise in Python. • Hands-on experience in Machine Learning and Generative AI application development. • Experience building applications using Large Language Models (LLMs). • Strong understanding of: • Prompt Engineering • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) • Embeddings and Vector Search • Natural Language Processing (NLP) • Experience with Machine Learning frameworks such as: • PyTorch • TensorFlow • Scikit-learn • Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex. • Experience developing RESTful APIs using FastAPI or Flask. • Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. • AWS Cloud • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including: • Amazon Bedrock • Amazon SageMaker • AWS Lambda • Amazon S3 • Amazon EC2 • Amazon RDS • API Gateway • Experience deploying cloud-native AI applications. • Knowledge of cloud security, monitoring, and cost optimization. Preferred Skills • Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, OpenSearch, ChromaDB, or Weaviate. • Experience fine-tuning foundation models using PEFT or LoRA. • Knowledge of Responsible AI, AI governance, and model explainability. • Experience building enterprise-scale AI solutions in cloud environments.
