**Job Description Regional Head - Government Business** **Role Purpose** The Regional Head - Government Business role at Jana Small Finance Bank is responsible for driving Government Business growth, strengthening institutional relationships, enabling revenue expansion, and ensuring compliance and service excellence within the Government & FIG ecosystem. **Key Responsibilities** - Acquire and manage government department relationships, boards, corporations, and public institutions. - Drive CASA, deposits, CMS, digital payments, and collection mandates. - Ensure onboarding and servicing of government accounts with high compliance standards. - Support tender participation, proposal submission, and government RFP processes. - Coordinate with branches, regional teams, operations, FIG, digital, and product teams. - Drive portfolio activation, balance build-up, and retention. - Monitor compliance, documentation, and audit readiness for all government accounts. - Ensure resolution of service issues and strengthen long-term institutional partnerships. **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)** - Government account acquisition & portfolio growth - CASA & TD balance enhancement - CMS/digital collections revenue - Mandate wins (departments, boards, municipalities) - Activation, retention & relationship deepening - Compliance adherence and documentation accuracy **Skills & Competencies** - Strong understanding of Government & Institutional banking - Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills - Knowledge of CMS, digital collections, and payment solutions - Strong communication, negotiation & presentation skills - Analytical, compliance-oriented, and process disciplined - Ability to influence senior bureaucratic and institutional stakeholders **Qualifications & Experience** - Graduate/Postgraduate with relevant experience in Government/Institutional Banking. - Experience in CMS, FIG, payment solutions, and government liaison preferred. - Strong exposure to public sector relationship management.
