The Axial Programme will be powered by S/4HANA a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system which will be implemented right across the organisation and will provide our business with standardised processes, enhanced financial management, common data and real time reporting, transforming the way we work through our entire supply chain - from bench to patient. The new system will be used by more than 20,000 employees daily, is foundational to all AZ entities and is central to most core business processes. This blended position is primarily a Business Analysis role with supporting Project Management responsibilities within the Axial S/4HANA programme. You will be responsible for solution design for a defined capability area, such as Clinical Supply, Finance, Operations, or Enabling Units, while supporting end-to-end delivery activities. You will drive fit-to-standard adoption of SAP best practices, ensure integrated architecture across domains, establish robust data and integration design, and maintain alignment with AstraZeneca compliance standards, while also contributing to planning, RAID, and governance to support delivery on time and within budget. The role requires comfort working in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, including SAP Activate. As a key member of the wider SAP S/4HANA IT Design Team, you will help define the IT solution that enables our global standardised business processes. This role will be aligned to a process within one of the Clinical Supply areas under the Enterprise Process Owner (EPO) domain. During the global process design phase, you will be accountable for the solution design and will act as the central point of coordination for defining the integrated solution. This includes ensuring alignment across business process definition, SAP solution design, and SAP data object definition. Within your process area, you will ensure that the global standard solution is fully and accurately documented and tested in line with project standards, and you will represent and advocate for the design through the required governance forums. You will work closely with other IT Business Analysts, Product Managers, and specialists across the design team to make sure solutions are effectively integrated into the broader AstraZeneca global standard design. This will also involve collaboration with SMEs from external partners to ensure the AZ solution adopts standard, groundbreaking technology in support of the design. You will also be an active contributor to the wider design forums across AstraZeneca, ensuring that the global standard design for your capability aligns with the strategic vision for both business and system architecture within your process area. As the programme moves into the deployment phase, you will continue to play a pivotal role in ensuring that localisation requirements for individual functions are appropriately reflected in the solution while preserving the integrity of a fit-to-standard, best-practice design. Throughout the programme, you will remain a key member of the design team and may lead a team of Business Analysts for your capability area. In this capacity, you will guide them in producing solution designs and project documentation, while using your experience and knowledge to help upskill the team in both SAP S/4HANA and the broader AstraZeneca application landscape.
