**Role & responsibilities** Job Title: SAP FICO Consultant Experience: 5+ Location: Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad **Role Overview** The SAP S/4 HANA FICO Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP S/4 HANA Finance (FICO) modules. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders to optimize financial processes and ensure accurate financial reporting using SAP S/4 HANA. **Key Responsibilities** - Implement and support **SAP S/4 HANA Finance (FICO)** modules - Configure and maintain: - **Financial Accounting (FI)** GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting - **Controlling (CO)** – Cost Center, Profit Center, Internal Orders, COPA - Perform **business requirement gathering** and translate into functional specifications - Conduct **Fit-Gap analysis** and recommend best practices solutions - Configure key areas like: - New GL / Universal Journal (ACDOCA) - Parallel accounting & ledger configuration - Tax configuration and integration - Work on **end-to-end implementation lifecycle** (Blueprint Realization Testing Go-Live Support) - Collaborate with **technical teams** for RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) - Support **data migration activities** using tools like LSMW / Migration Cockpit - Perform **system testing, UAT support**, and issue resolution - Ensure compliance with **financial regulations and reporting standards** - Provide **training and documentation** for business users - Handle **production support and troubleshooting** **Required Skills & Qualifications** - Strong experience in **SAP FICO on S/4 HANA platform** - Deep understanding of: - Financial Accounting processes (GL, AP, AR, AA) - Controlling processes (CCA, PCA, COPA) - Hands-on experience with **configuration and customization** - Knowledge of **S/4 HANA simplifications and innovations** - Experience in **at least 1–2 full lifecycle S/4 HANA implementations** - Understanding of **integration with other modules (MM, SD)** - Ability to analyze business requirements and provide optimal solutions **Preferred Skills** - Knowledge of **Central Finance** - Experience with **Fiori Apps** for finance - Exposure to **S/4 HANA Migration (ECC to S/4)** - Familiarity with **data migration tools (LTMC / Migration Cockpit)** - Basic knowledge of **ABAP / debugging** - Experience with **Group Reporting / FSCM** **Experience Required** - Typically **4–12 years** of SAP FICO experience - Minimum **1 S/4 HANA implementation or migration project** **Education** - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, IT, or related field - MBA (Finance) / CA / ICWA / CPA is an added advantage **Key Competencies** - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Effective communication and stakeholder management - Ability to work in fast-paced and delivery-oriented environments - Team collaboration and client-facing skills **Optional Responsibilities (Senior Roles)** - Lead FICO functional team and mentor juniors - Manage client interactions and project deliverables - Conduct solution architecture and design workshops - Perform code/design reviews and ensure best practices **Preferred candidate profile**
