Automation & QA Engineer II (SDET II) **Experience:** 3–5 Years At Setu, we're building the API infrastructure powering India's digital financial ecosystem. Today, launching and scaling financial products is slowed down by legacy banking systems. We're changing that by building clean, reliable, and developer-first APIs that abstract the complexity of financial infrastructure. If you're passionate about quality engineering and want to build products that power millions of transactions, we'd love to hear from you. **What You'll Do** - Own end-to-end quality assurance for products from feature development to production release. - Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and test suites. - Build automated UI, API, and regression test suites. - Collaborate with engineers during feature development to improve testability and product quality. - Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automation strategies. - Identify, reproduce, and track defects while working closely with engineering teams to resolve them. - Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and release activities. - Contribute to continuous improvements in testing practices, automation coverage, and engineering quality. - Perform performance, regression, and exploratory testing where required. - Drive quality as a shared engineering responsibility. **What We're Looking For** - 3–5 years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation. - Strong understanding of software testing principles and SDLC/STLC. - Hands-on experience with automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Pytest. - Good programming skills in Python. - Experience testing REST APIs. - Familiarity with Git and version control workflows. - Exposure to CI/CD pipelines. - Basic understanding of Docker, AWS, and cloud-native applications. - Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter, k6, LoadRunner, or Locust. - Awareness of GenAI applications in software testing is a plus. - Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. **Good to Have** - Experience working in Agile teams. - Exposure to fintech or API products. - Knowledge of performance and security testing. - Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines. **Why Join Setu?** - Build infrastructure that powers India's digital financial ecosystem. - Work alongside engineers who have built platforms such as UPI, Aadhaar, GST, and other national-scale digital infrastructure. - High ownership with opportunities to influence product quality and engineering practices. - Learning budget for books, certifications, conferences, and courses. - Comprehensive health insurance for you and your family. - Collaborative engineering culture focused on craftsmanship and continuous learning.
