**Job Description** MediaTek Bangalore is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and technically proficient Facilities Management Specialist to oversee the daily operations, facility management services, and administration functions of our office at Bangalore. This crucial role ensures the smooth functioning of our facilities, directly supporting our engineering and operational needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong operational background in building infrastructure systems, exceptional communication skills, and a consultative approach to business problem-solving, capable of coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors. **Main Requirements and Qualifications** - Experience: 8 to 10 Years - Overall Office Operations & Administration: Oversee the day-to-day operations and administration functions for the MediaTek Bangalore office located in 4 different buildings, including office management, travel, transport, hospitality (hotel/cafeteria), F&B services, visa processing, event management, and handling VIP visits. - Facility Management Initiatives: Support and drive business-wide Facility Management (FM) initiatives, including contract renewals, cost reduction strategies, and comprehensive contract management plans. - Technical Skills: Oversee the day-to-day operational management of Electrical and Maintenance services, coordinating preventive maintenance and troubleshooting activities with vendors and contractors. - Real Estate Projects: Coordinate with stake holders on understanding growth requirements, plan and execute start to end new office/refurbishment projects as per requirement. - Shipments and SEZ Requirements: Strong Experience in coordinating and liaison with BU, Customs, Shipment vendors and SEZ officials on international and domestic shipments as per requirement. - Inventory & Cost Optimization: Manage the inventory of all consumables, analyze consumption trends, and implement strategies to optimize costs. - Compliance & Safety: Ensure continuous adherence to local statutory requirements, safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Maintain accurate records of facility operations, repairs, and maintenance schedules. - Vendor Management: Source, negotiate, manage vendor contracts for maintenance, repairs, facility upgrades, and all related services. - Leadership & Cross-functional Coordination: Display strong leadership qualities, effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives, and interact with the leadership team, providing concise updates and recommendations. - Independent Analysis & Problem Solving: Independently analyze operational issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Demonstrate initiative in handling complex challenges without direct supervision. - Consultative Business Support: Act as a consultant to business units, advising on facility-related improvements and operational efficiencies. Anticipate business needs and proactively recommend operational enhancements. - Required Skills & Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field, along with 10+ years of equivalent experience in a facility management role. - Proven knowledge and experience with Labs, Mechanical, electrical panels, UPS systems, and emergency power solutions. - Solid understanding of civil works and experience overseeing renovations or modifications of office spaces. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with leadership, cross-functional teams, and external vendors. - Strong independent problem-solving and analytical abilities; capable of identifying root causes and driving solutions a
